Long Branch, N.J. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced the recipients of the Congressional Award, this year's U.S. Service Academy nominees, and the winners of the 2019 Sixth Congressional District High School Arts Competition at a Congressional Awards Ceremony. Students representing several local high schools were honored at the reception at the West End Arts Center.

U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, D-6th District, wrote to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Thursday to request a briefing on the efforts CDC is taking to educate the public and prevent heat illnesses among youth athletes.

In a statement Pallone's office said that the letter comes in the wake of several of these avoidable tragedies, including one affecting a family in his home state of New Jersey.

EDISON, N.J. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) announced the introduction of the Reversing the Youth Tobacco Epidemic Act of 2019 today. Pallone unveiled the legislation at J.P. Stevens High School today alongside public health advocates. The new legislation aims to address the sharp rise in use of tobacco and e-cigarette products among young people.
