Washington, D.C. --- The U.S. House of Representatives last night approved a water resources development conference report that authorizes federal funding for the South River Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Project. The project was requested by U.S. Reps. Rush Holt (D-NJ) and Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ).

Washington, DC --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), the founder and co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on Sri Lanka, submitted testimony at a House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia hearing yesterday. The title of the hearing was "Political Crises in South Asia: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal".

Washington, D.C. --- The U.S. House of Representatives last night approved a water resources development conference report that authorizes $15 million for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to move ahead with small-scale watershed restoration projects like stream bank restoration in Marlboro, said U.S. Reps. Rush Holt (D-NJ) and Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), who requested the project be included in the final report.

Newark, NJ - United States Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and United States Representative Frank Pallone today joined with child health advocates and beneficiaries of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (S-CHIP) to call on Congress to approve the reauthorizing measures that will be before both the House and Senate this week. In New Jersey, S-CHIP, known as FamilyCare, provides health benefits for 126,000 children and over 80,000 adults, who would otherwise not have coverage.
