WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressman Frank Pallone issued the following statement today regarding the White House’s decision against signing an executive order that would prohibit federal contractors from discriminating against LGBT workers:
“I’m disappointed that, at this time, the Administration has decided not issue an executive order prohibiting contractors from receiving federal funds unless they have sexual orientation and gender identity anti-discrimination policies in place.
Program will provide home visits to at-risk families to improve child health and developmental outcomes

LONG BRANCH, NJ—Today Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) posthumously awarded the Bronze Star medal to the family of Russell T. Olivadotti following a Congressional Inquiry initiated by Pallone’s Office. Mr. Olivadotti, a resident of West Long Branch until he passed away in August 2011, was wounded while serving in the U.S. Army during WWII.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), along with 71 Members of Congress, sent the following letter to President Obama today calling for an executive order prohibiting contractors from receiving federal funds unless they have sexual orientation and gender identity anti-discrimination policies in place.
Congressman Frank Pallone (NJ-06) held a briefing discussion on March 29 on discrimination in the workplace against LGBT employees, urging government action. This briefing was prompted by examples of such discrimination including one example where a former employee at DynCorp, a military contractor profiting from billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars, reported that he was a victim of continual anti-gay discrimination and harassment while working at the corporation.
Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that the town of Sea Bright in New Jersey’s sixth district was awarded a grant of $1.37 million to fund a bulkhead repair project. It was awarded thanks to a request submitted by Congressman Pallone to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
