NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today presented Corporal Charles Brown, Jr. of Piscataway with a Congressional Gold Medal for his distinguished achievements as a Montford Point Marine during World War II. The Congressional Gold Medal is the nation’s highest civilian award. The ceremony was held at Parker’s Landing Lane Care Residence in New Brunswick where Cpl. Brown now resides.

OLD BRIDGE, NJ – On Wednesday, October 17 at 7:00 PM Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) will attend a meeting hosted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on its plan to cleanup lead contamination at the Raritan Bay Slag Superfund Site in Old Bridge and Sayreville. At the meeting the EPA will explain and receive public comment on its proposed plan. It will take place at the George Bush Senior Center in Old Bridge.
On Wednesday, October 17 at 2:00 PM Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) will present a Congressional Gold Medal to Corporal Charles W. EDISON, NJ – Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) visited the Rabbi Pesach Ramon Yeshiva in Edison today. Pallone toured the school and addressed students about the political process, his role as a Congressman and the importance of public service. He also congratulated three students who recently won an environmental essay contest sponsored by the Middlesex County Department of Public Safety and Health. On Saturday, September 22, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) hosted his annual Academy Day at Naval Weapons Station Earle, Leonardo Pier Complex. Turnout exceeded expectations, with 200 guests attending. The event provided a forum for students who are interested in attending one of the country’s prestigious U.S. Service Academies.
WASHINGTON, DC—Representatives Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), Frank Pallone (D-NJ) and Nita Lowey (D-NY) announced they will introduce legislation today to limit the amount of arsenic permitted in rice and rice-based products. A recent Consumer Reports investigation revealed alarmingly high levels of arsenic in rice and rice-based products, such as cereal. There are currently no federal standards for arsenic in most foods, including rice and rice-based products.
