Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the contract has been awarded and work will begin this fall on a $36 million beach replenishment project in Keansburg. This Army Corps of Engineers project, which is funded at full federal expense, will restore beaches in Keansburg to conditions better than prior to Sandy and was made possible by the Sandy aid package passed by Congress.

Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) read to children at Asbury Park Pediatrics as part of the Reach Out and Read program that prepares America’s youngest children to succeed in school by training doctors and nurses to advise parents about the importance of reading aloud and to give books to children at checkups from 6 months through 5 years. Through Reach Out and Read, each child starts kindergarten with a home library of up to 10 new, carefully chosen books and a parent who has heard at every health supervision visit about the importance of books and reading.

Calls on House Republicans to Vote on Bipartisan Bill Expanding Criminal Background Checks

New Brunswick, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone joined with community activists today outside of his New Brunswick office to rally for Congress to act on common sense solutions to reduce gun violence and make our schools, communities and streets safer. Themed “No More Birthday Cake,” Pallone and supporters presented a cake as a powerful symbol of lives lost and the positive steps we can take to make sure we don't lose more birthdays at the hands of gun violence.

While the Congressman supports the campaign, he questions whether Governor Christie took advantage of the federal funds for his personal political gain.
