C. - A new analysis of the Medicare plan already approved by the House of Representatives last month refutes the Republicans' claim that their plan wouldn't have any effects on those 65 or older by documenting the immediate harm to current Medicare participants, U. S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. said on Thursday.
Washington – In response to Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr.’s (D-NJ) request for funding from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pallone announced Wednesday that $7.5 million will go to fund beach replenishment in Monmouth Beach and possibly parts of northern Long Branch. This $7.5 million is in addition to roughly $2.5 million that has been banked for this project through funding secured by Pallone in previous years. The $7.5 million will allow the Army Corps to begin this project.
Matawan – Visiting with senior citizens on Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. condemned the plan already passed by the Republican-controlled House of Representatives that would convert the Medicaid funding for the states to block grants. Pallone told the residents of Madison Center nursing home in Matawan that the grants would be capped, resulting in funding reductions and diminishing care.
