LONG BRANCH, NJ -- Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr, (NJ-06) presented a Prisoner of War medal to the family of deceased World War Two Veteran Gavino Peter Petillo. Mr. Petillo served in the United States Army from February 13, 1942 until October 17, 1945. During the war, Mr. Petillo was captured in North Africa and was a Prisoner of War in Germany for 19 months. Mr. Petillo grew up in Asbury Park and his family now resides in Long Branch. Steven Verona, Rishi Salwi, and Charvi Shah from High Tech High School in Middletown, NJ won for their app ‘Parkinsafe’, an app designed for Parkinson's patients to help stabilize screens.

Long Branch, NJ - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone (NJ-06), the Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, applauded the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the coming installation of a 1.5 megawatt solar panel generation field to their Edison, New Jersey facility. The energy generated will provide approximately 60% of the facility’s electricity needs.

Craig Fugate to express disappointment with the continued delays for claim reviews from victims of Superstorm Sandy. Although Superstorm Sandy occurred over four years ago, 36% of Sandy claims still remain open.

Washington, DC – Today, the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) published a report on the compensation paid to Write-Your-Own (WYO) companies that administer the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The report confirms the need for Congressman Pallone's Flood Insurance Reimbursement Standards Transparency (FIRST) Cap Profits Act, which he introduced last year and will introduce in the new Congress.
