On the two year anniversary of the historic health care reform law, the Affordable Care Act, Congressman Frank Pallone, Senior Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee and one of the principal authors of the law, released the following statement:
“As we mark two years of the Affordable Care Act, I remain proud to have had a role in authoring this important piece of legislation. Today, millions of Americans are benefitting from expanded health care access, lower health care costs and patient protections because of the law.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – On the anniversary of President Obama signing the historic Affordable Care Act, Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.), a senior member of the Senate Finance Committee, today introduced legislation that would help more small businesses provide health care to their employees by expanding the Small Business Health Care Tax Credit. The bill would increase the average annual wage requirement and size of the businesses that qualify for the credit.

Congressman Pallone has consistently opposed the IPAB, which is an unelected body that is tasked with changes to the Medicare payment system independently, as an executive overreach and encroaching on congressional authority.
