Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that he secured $2.5 million to enhance coastal resiliency in the communities around Naval Weapons Station Earle. The base will partner with Monmouth University and NY/NJ Baykeeper to develop coastal resiliency projects that will stabilize the shoreline in communities in the area and develop resiliency alternatives for other Naval installations exposed to climate change. Pallone secured the funding request in the Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense spending bill for Fiscal Year 2023.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that New Jersey will receive $6.5 million to clean up Brownfield sites through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that Congress passed and was signed into law in November. The law injected $1.5 billion into the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Brownfields program to help communities clean up contaminated industrial sites and turn the spaces into parks, housing developments, or new businesses. Pallone authored the bipartisan bill that created the program in 2002.

Edison, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that Middlesex County will receive $1,086,306 to preserve the Metuchen Meeting House Battlefield. The grant will cover half of the acquisition cost and allow Middlesex County in partnership with Edison Township to create the new public Battle of Short Hills Park.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced today that funding for ten Community Funded Projects he submitted to the Appropriations Committee for New Jersey's Sixth Congressional District passed the House of Representatives in the Omnibus package for Fiscal Year 2022. The projects will help rebuild and repair infrastructure, support public health and educational facilities, invest in scientific research, and improve coastal resilience. The bill is expected to pass the Senate and go to President Biden's desk for a signature this week.

Long Branch, NJCongressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today that Anjuli Ramos-Busot and Kai Mateo will serve as virtual guests to President Biden's State of the Union Address to Congress on Tuesday. Ramos-Busot is the Executive Director of the New Jersey Sierra Club. She is a former climate change research scientist at New Jersey's Department of Environmental Protection and now leads one of the state's top climate advocacy organizations. Mateo is the Federal Climate Campaign Manager for New Jersey League of Conservation Voters.

Pallone recently announced that New Jersey will receive $15,448,790 to build out the state's electric vehicle charging infrastructure, paving the way for a more robust and convenient network of chargers across New Jersey.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that New Jersey will receive $3,996,614 to restore and conserve sport fish populations and $4,410,062 to restore, conserve, and manage wildlife populations. The funding comes from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration (WSFR) Program. The program supports state and local outdoor recreational opportunities and wildlife and habitat conservation efforts.

Old Bridge, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. joined local elected officials and business owners in Old Bridge today to highlight new funding for water infrastructure and flood control projects in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties. New Jersey will receive nearly $1 billion in funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure and Disaster Relief Laws. New Jersey's 6th Congressional District will receive $197.4 million in new funding.
