WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Department of the Interior unveiled its latest iteration of the 2017-2022 Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Program. The revised proposal removes a dangerous provision from the Draft Proposed Plan that would have authorized new offshore oil and gas leasing along the southern Atlantic coast.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), a co-chair of the Congressional Coastal Communities Caucus, announced a $450,344 grant to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The grant will enable the 15 communities that make up the Two Rivers Council of Mayors in Monmouth County to improve their ability to respond to adverse events and a variety of coastal threats, including extreme weather events, climate hazards, and changing ocean conditions.
