Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that cities and towns in New Jersey's 6th Congressional District will receive $4,469,297 in funding from the CARES Act. Middlesex County will receive $2,696,325 and Monmouth County will receive $4,061,870. The funding is allocated through the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant Program and will help the localities respond to the coronavirus pandemic.

New Brunswick, N.J. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced a federal grant from the Department of Justice totaling $288,300 to Manavi, Inc. in New Brunswick. This funding will be used to maintain and enhance advocacy, supportive counseling, and direct intervention services for South Asian survivors of sexual assault. The funding will also enhance Manavi's outreach efforts to increase awareness to the South Asian community and develop and distribute culturally specific sexual assault information brochures in 11 languages.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that 180 Turning Lives Around, Inc. in Monmouth County will receive a grant for $575,000 to expand legal assistance and support for women who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The funding will help pay for legal expenses related to final restraining orders, divorces, child custody cases, and housing. The award was made through the Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women. In March, Pallone wrote a letter of support for the organization's funding request.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced that the dredging of Cheesequake Creek has begun. The project will last until the end of September assuming there are no weather delays or mechanical issues. In February, Pallone announced securing $4.1 million in federal funding for the dredging of Cheesequake Creek.

The postmaster general's plan to restructure the U.S. Postal Service three months before the election amounts to a "sabotage" that is an attack on democracy, Rep. Frank Pallone said Tuesday.

The Democratic congressman called on President Donald Trump's administration to end an overhaul that has put in jeopardy timely deliveries of prescription medicine, Social Security checks and, perhaps, mail-in ballots.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) led the entire New Jersey delegation in the U.S. House of Representatives in calling on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to extend its deadline for the State of New Jersey to finalize its Preliminary Damage Assessment in the wake of Tropical Storm Isaias. In a letter to FEMA Administrator Peter Gaynor, the lawmakers requested that the Agency honor Governor Phil Murphy's request for a 30-day extension.

Washington, D.C. – Representatives Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Carolyn B. Maloney (NY-14), and Gus Bilirakis (FL-12) today led a group of 16 bipartisan Members of Congress in condemning the Republic of Turkey's reckless actions in the Eastern Mediterranean that have increased tensions between North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) members. In a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, the Members urged the Trump Administration to condemn the actions and work with the United States' regional partners to de-escalate the tension.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today called for an end to the Trump Administration's sabotage of the U.S. Postal Service at a press conference at the Long Branch Post Office. He was joined by local elected officials and a representative from the New Jersey State Association of Letter Carriers.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today demanded JCP&L reimburse customers for food and medications lost due to widespread and prolonged power outages in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Isaias. In a letter to the company's executives, Pallone called on the company to provide the reimbursements in light of its failure to adequately respond to the widespread power outages. As a result of the storm, an estimated 1.4 million residents in New Jersey lost power, including 788,000 JCP&L customers.
