With gas prices at or near record highs, Rep. Frank Pallone Jr. has asked oil company executives to explain why fuel costs so much. Pallone, chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, has asked executives of BP, Chevron, Devon Energy Corp., ExxonMobil, Pioneer Natural Resources, and Royal Dutch Shell to testify on April 6 at a hearing on high gas prices.

Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) wrote to six oil and gas companies today expressing concern that the industry is taking advantage of the crisis in Ukraine and global market shocks to keep prices artificially high and increase their own profits. He asked the executives of BP, Chevron, Devon Energy Corporation, ExxonMobil, Pioneer Natural Resources, and Royal Dutch Shell to testify before the Committee on Wednesday, April 6, to answer for their company's business practices and address the industry's impact on consumers.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced today that schools and libraries in New Jersey will receive nearly $10 million from the 10th and 11th rounds of funding from the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Emergency Connectivity Fund Program (ECF). To date, schools and libraries in New Jersey's 6th Congressional District have now received $11.9 million, and New Jersey has received over $122 million from the Fund in total.

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today applauded House passage of the Omnibus spending bill for Fiscal Year 2022 that strengthens aid to Armenia and holds Azerbaijan accountable. The bill includes $45 million to bolster Armenia's democratic, economic, energy, and security reforms and allows Armenia to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Artsakh triggered by last year's 44-day war. It also includes $2 million in dedicated funding for humanitarian demining in Artsakh.

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced today that funding for ten Community Funded Projects he submitted to the Appropriations Committee for New Jersey's Sixth Congressional District passed the House of Representatives in the Omnibus package for Fiscal Year 2022. The projects will help rebuild and repair infrastructure, support public health and educational facilities, invest in scientific research, and improve coastal resilience. The bill is expected to pass the Senate and go to President Biden's desk for a signature this week.

Washington, DC - Representatives Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06), Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), Andy Kim (NJ-03), and Bill Pascrell (NJ-09) today announced a two-year delay in recoupment efforts for debt owed to the federal government in relation to Superstorm Sandy has been included in the Omnibus Fiscal Year 2022 package. These recoupment efforts known as "clawbacks" have blindsided homeowners because many New Jersey residents applied for loans and benefits offered by various federal programs at the recommendation of the government.

Ramos-Busot is the Executive Director of the New Jersey Sierra Club. She is a former climate change research scientist at New Jersey's Department of Environmental Protection and now leads one of the state's top climate advocacy organizations. Mateo is the Federal Climate Campaign Manager for New Jersey League of Conservation Voters.
