Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today applauded the $183,147,420 New Jersey will receive to help families improve home energy efficiency. The funding comes from provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act that Pallone included as Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee.

The state has received a total of $455,659,467 for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) that helps families struggling with the costs of home energy bills.

Perth Amboy will receive $1.25 million to hire 10 new police officers. New Brunswick will receive $250,000 to hire two police officers.
