Washington, D.C. - Senator Robert Menendez and Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. on Wednesday praised the Democratic Legislature for refusing to comply with Governor Chris Christie's plan to decimate the state program that provides critical health care services to the needy. Democrats in both the Senate and Assembly are planning to act to prevent NJ FamilyCare participants from being denied care in the upcoming budget year. The restoration of the program is included in the budget plans set for final legislative approval by both chambers.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) and Congressman Rush Holt (NJ-12) Tuesday announced the Veterans Affairs Community-based Outpatient Clinic in Tinton Falls that will replace the services currently offered at the Ft. Monmouth CBOC will officially open Tuesday, July 5 which accomplishes the least possible interruption to area veterans’ health care. The clinic that currently operates at Ft. Monmouth closed June 24 and is currently transitioning to the new location at 55 Gilbert Street in Tinton Falls.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr., Monday announced the start of dredging at the Shark River Inlet in Monmouth County. The dredging, which began earlier this week, will be conducted by the Army Corps of Engineers and continue for 10-11 days to improve the safety and accessibility of the inlet.

Washington – In response to Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr.’s (D-NJ) request for funding from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pallone announced Wednesday that $7.5 million will go to fund beach replenishment in Monmouth Beach and possibly parts of northern Long Branch. This $7.5 million is in addition to roughly $2.5 million that has been banked for this project through funding secured by Pallone in previous years. The $7.5 million will allow the Army Corps to begin this project.
