WASHINGTON—One day after the Obama Administration released a budget plan that eliminates funding for the fisheries lab at Sandy Hook, U.S. Senators Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ), and U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), today called on the President to reconsider his decision to close the lab. The members vowed to work through the Congressional appropriations process to restore funding for this successful research facility.

Generic drugs provided more than $824 billion in savings in the last decade

Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), Senior Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee Thursday joined with House Energy and Commerce leadership to introduce the "Generic Drug and Biosimilar User Fee Act of 2012." The bill establishes two critically important programs at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that will help speed the delivery of low-cost drugs and other medicines to patients.

Washington DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) announced Wednesday that $12.3 million will be awarded to fund beach replenishment in Sea Bright and Monmouth Beach thanks to a request Congressman Pallone submitted to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This funding will allow the Army Corps to begin replenishing the beaches in these towns in Fall 2012.

Congressman Frank Pallone Jr. (D-NJ), Senior Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee was joined by Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), Senior Democrat on the House Appropriates Subcommittee on Labor, Health, Human Services, and Education and consumer health advocates on Wednesday to introduce the “Arsenic Prevention and Protection from Lead Exposure in Juice Act of 2012’’ or “APPLE Juice Act of 2012.” The bill will protect children from arsenic and lead in fruit juices.
