WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressmen Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) and Jared Polis (CO-02) led 110 Members of Congress in sending a letter to President Barack Obama today calling for an executive order prohibiting contractors without sexual orientation and gender identity anti-discrimination policies from receiving federal funds. Support for the executive order has grown in Congress with 38 more Members signing on than in a similar effort last year.

Washington, DC – Yesterday, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) sent the following letter to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie regarding his proposed plan to use more than $1.8 billion in federal dollars from the Superstorm Sandy relief package passed by Congress in January. The funding represents the first wave of Community Development Block Grant funding, which may be used to help repair homes and small businesses damaged by Sandy.

Today, Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) appeared at a House Committee on Natural Resources oversight hearing on the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson Act), the legislation that has set the framework for determining how much of any fish stock can be harvested where and by whom each year in federal marine waters. The Magnuson Act is set to be reauthorized before next year.
