Pallone Statement on Trump Tax Proposal

Washington, D.C. –Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) issued the following statement on President Trump’s tax proposal.

“The President’s tax proposal is short on details, but I have serious concerns about the impact it would have on New Jerseyans, especially the middle class and those who aspire to reach it. What we do know is that his proposal would eliminate deductions on state and local taxes that save the average New Jerseyans $3,500 per year. That provision is unacceptable given the tax burden already facing New Jersey families, who have the highest property taxes in the nation.”
