Pallone Statement on Shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6), released the following statement on the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando:
“I am shocked and saddened by the tragedy that took place in Orlando last night. It is appalling that so many innocent lives were taken. These senseless acts are horrifying and contrary to the principles that we hold dear.
“While there will need to be a thorough investigation, it is clear that this is a devastating blow to the LGBT community in particular. It is especially tragic these attacks took place during Pride month, when Americans recommit to fighting for equality. All Americans now need to stand together to make clear that this type of hatred and bigotry has no place in our country.”
