Pallone Lauds Opening of New Piscataway VA Clinic
Washington, D.C. - Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) Tuesday officially opened the Piscataway Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic at a ribbon cutting ceremony for a facility which, at twice the size of the previous location, will provide new and improved health care services for veterans.
"As Memorial Day approaches, it's important to always keep in mind the sacrifices our servicemen and women have made on our behalf," said Pallone. "It's only right that we provide them with the best health care services that are also accessible to them. This new clinic fulfills that promise to our veterans."
This CBOC, which began treating patients on January 7, replaces the former New Brunswick CBOC. The improved services available at the new site include women's healthcare services, expanded telehealth services, expanded social work services, and nutrition and psychiatry labs. The CBOC is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays.
"I am proud to be here today to showcase this great example of our commitment to the health and well being of New Jersey's veterans," Pallone added.
Attendees included Piscataway Mayor Brian Wahler, VA leadership from the New York/New Jersey Network of hospitals, Veteran Stakeholders and State Commanders of Veterans Service Organizations representing tens of thousands of veterans throughout New Jersey.
