Pallone Announces Additional FEMA Office Openings

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. Saturday announced that the Federal Emergency Management Administration will open two Disaster Recovery Centers on Sunday that will better serve his constituents in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties who were affected by Hurricane Irene and the aftermath. This announcement is in addition to Pallone’s Friday announcement that FEMA offices in Union County and Somerset County are now open.

In addition to these office openings, Pallone reiterated that sixth district residents may also contact his staff in either his New Brunswick (732)249-8892) or Long Branch (732)571-1140 district offices to speak with his staff regarding disaster recovery assistance.

Monmouth County Disaster Recovery Center

The offices will provide information on small-business loans, home loans, housing assistance, hazard mitigation, tax matters, crisis counseling and other storm-related issues. Prior to visiting either of these offices, residents are encouraged to register with FEMA by phone at 800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 800-462-7585. Specialists are standing by at the toll-free numbers seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time, until further notice. Or you can register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov.
