Pallone Announces $426,161 Engineering Grant for Rutgers
Washington - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that Rutgers University has been awarded a new National Science Foundation grant for its Engineering Department. The grant will support the department's project titled "Robust, scalable, distributed semantic mapping for search-and-rescue and manufacturing co-robots." The project hopes to enable-robots to assist with human operators in education, medical assistance, agriculture, and manufacturing applications.

The project is a three-year $850,000 collaborative effort between Boston University and Rutgers University. Rutgers' share of this award is $426,161.
