Media Advisory: Pallone Holds Subcommittee Hearing on Cancer Research

Washington, DC – Health Subcommittee Chairman Frank Pallone (NJ-06) will hold a hearing Tuesday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. entitled, “NCI Cancer Research: Today’s Progress; Tomorrow’s Challenges.” The hearing will explore recent innovations and future research activities of cancer research at the National Cancer Institute.

Members will hear testimony from the National Cancer Institute, as well as other leading cancer research organizations. Cancer was the second leading cause of death in 2009, but cancer research has created significant strides in cancer prevention, detection, and treatment.
