Pallone Highlights Upgrades to South Plainfield’s Emergency Response System

South Plainfield, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) held a press conference today to highlight upgrades to South Plainfield's emergency response system. Pallone secured $370,725 to modernize the emergency operations center in a federal spending bill that was signed into law last year. The funding will be used to replace equipment and upgrade the Communications and 9-1-1 Center used to coordinate police, fire, and EMS services during emergencies and natural disasters. These upgrades will ensure that first responders can work together more effectively and increase their capability to respond to crises.

The COVID-19 pandemic showed just how important our first responders are to our communities. This funding will help first responders keep South Plainfield safe and healthy," said Pallone.
