January 3, 2018

LONG BRANCH, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that his office helped secure a total of $464,170.82 for his constituents seeking assistance through his district office in 2017. His work on behalf of constituents includes help with Veterans Affairs claims, tax return issues with the Internal Revenue Service, Sandy related FEMA grants and claims, SBA loans, Social Security payments, and more. Over the last year, Congressman Pallone's constituent outreach representatives have made it possible for constituents to cut through red tape in order to receive money that is rightfully owed to them.

"I want all of my constituents to know that we're here to help," said Congressman Pallone. "Whether my constituents need assistance navigating the federal bureaucracy or are concerned about a federal policy, I encourage them to stay in touch and hope that they continue to use my office as a resource."

Among those receiving assistance from Congressman Pallone's office include a constituent from South Plainfield. The Social Security Administration (SSA) deducted 14-months of Medicare Part B premiums from her monthly check when they entered the wrong date of entitlement. After Pallone's office contacted SSA, they corrected the records and refunded more than $1,400 in premiums. Congressman Pallone's office also helped a constituent from Edison, NJ who had trouble retrieving burial expenses from the Veterans Administration for a parent. Pallone's office helped resolve the situation and the individual received a check for over $1,000.

Constituents who have questions about a federal agency, or need assistance with matters ranging from Social Security benefits, federal pensions, Medicare eligibility, to passport or immigration matters should contact the Congressman for assistance. Additionally, veterans can receive help with a range of programs such as military records and awards, GI Bill benefits and VA disability claims. Staff can also be helpful in locating low-income housing options, energy assistance and various other benefits or resources.

For help on any of these services or other issues, constituents should not hesitate to contact either of Congressman Pallone's district offices:
