Pallone Applauds Groundbreaking for Perth Amboy Veterans Memorial Youth League Complex

Perth Amboy, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today applauded the official groundbreaking for the Perth Amboy Veterans Youth League Complex. Pallone secured $1.5 million for the project in a federal spending bill in 2022. The funding will help complete important park upgrades, including drainage improvements and the construction of multipurpose fields to cater to youth and adult sports leagues in the city.

“Today is a great day for Perth Amboy residents and everyone who uses Veterans Memorial Park. Thanks to state and federal investments, Perth Amboy will have a fantastic sports complex with state-of-the-art fields that will greatly expand and improve recreation for students and residents. I'm glad I was able to secure $1.5 million at the federal level for the city to invest in recreation and sports fields for young people,” Pallone said. “I’m grateful for everyone who worked so hard to make this groundbreaking a reality.”
