Pallone Applauds Governor Murphy & Legislature for Agreement on Minimum Wage Hike
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) released the following statement on Governor Murphy and legislative leaders agreeing to raise New Jersey’s minimum wage to $15 an hour.
“I want to thank Governor Murphy and the legislature for coming to an agreement that will make a real difference in the lives of workers throughout our state. No one working full time in New Jersey should ever have to live in poverty and a $15 minimum wage is an important step in that direction. This agreement will raise the wages of more than one million New Jerseyans and boost our economy by increasing the paychecks of so many. Now, Congress must work to follow Governor Murphy and New Jersey’s lead to increase the minimum wage for millions more families throughout our country.”
