Pallone Applauds Additional $142.6 Million from Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to Upgrade New Jersey’s Water Infrastructure

Long Branch, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today applauded an additional $142,676,000 from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to New Jersey’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) for essential drinking water infrastructure upgrades. The funding will allow the state to replace lead service lines.

As Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee last Congress, Pallone included key provisions in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for drinking water infrastructure, including $15 billion for the replacement of lead water lines and $10 billion to address PFAS contamination.

“Everyone should be able to trust the water from the tap. Today's announcement builds on the progress we’re making to replace lead service lines across New Jersey,” Pallone said. “I'm glad to see that the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is continuing to deliver on the promise to improve our state's water infrastructure, and I'll keep fighting to ensure that our communities have access to safe water.”
