Pallone Announces National Science Foundation Grant of $177,318 for Rutgers
Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that Rutgers University has been awarded a National Science Foundation grant of $177,318. The grant will support a project entitled "Connecting Common Era climate and sea level variability along the Eastern North American coastline" and will help improve the scientific understanding of sea level changes along the east coast and their relationship with climate.
"Climate change is an enormous threat to New Jersey and it coasts," said Pallone. "With the Trump administration and the EPA abdicating its responsibility to take action, I am encouraged to see Rutgers stepping forward to take on vital research to help protect the Jersey Shore and our entire planet through groundbreaking research on sea level rise and climate change."
