Pallone Announces Federal Research Grants for Rutgers
Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that Rutgers University has been awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant of $336,900 and a Health and Human Services (HHS) Grant of $339,063. The NSF grant is titled "Observing the Cosmic Evolution of Neutral Hydrogen" and will support the training of graduate and undergraduate students by providing additional experience in computation and statistics, research mentorship, education in STEM disciplines, and outreach to a variety of audiences. The HHS grant will go towards researching neurological disorders.
"Rutgers University is both a world renowned research university and an outstanding teaching institution," said Pallone. "These grants will support these strengths in education and research and make a real difference in expanding our knowledge of the universe and how to save lives."
