May 9, 2018

Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that Rutgers University has been awarded a new National Science Foundation grant of $856,337. The grant will support a project to help students learn to use different kinds of evidence in thinking about and creating models of complex systems. The project transforms the way simulations are used to help students develop scientific practices, epistemologies, and content knowledge within elementary school science classrooms.

"Rutgers University is both a world renowned research university and an outstanding teaching institution," said Pallone. "This grant will support these strengths in education and research and make a real difference in teaching science in the classroom."
