Congressman Pallone Announces $250,627 Grant for Chandler Health Center

Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced a grant of $250,627 from the Department of Health and Human Services to the Eric B. Chandler Health Center at Rutgers University.

"The Chandler Health Center is shining example of the impact that an outstanding community health center can have on its patients," said Pallone. "I know that Chandler will put this grant to good use and continue serving our community well."

The Eric B. Chandler Health Center is a comprehensive, family-oriented community health center, jointly operated by the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Eric B. Chandler Community Board, Inc. Primary care services available at Chandler include: family medicine; internal medicine; infectious disease (HIV counseling, testing, and treatment); pediatrics (including EPSDT and child well-care); obstetrics and gynecology; podiatry; family planning; and dentistry (including preventive, restoration, and curative). Other services of the center include social services, community outreach, nutrition, and health education.

Congressman Pallone is the Ranking Member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, which oversees healthcare.
