Menendez, Pallone: Lessons Learned from Sandy, New Policies to Rebuild Shore

Long Branch, NJ – Today, U.S. Senator Robert Menendez and Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) joined with local officials at the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority (BRSA) in Union Beach and reviewed important federal updates to the Sandy recovery process. Pallone and Menendez discussed a new revision to CDBG grant eligibility, and were joined by Michael Finnegan, a Port Monmouth resident who spent out of pocket to rebuild his home and before this revision was not eligible to be reimbursed. They also discussed FEMA funding for BRSA that will help repair damage at the facility, and announced their initiative in Congress to amend current law to allow condo associations and co-ops to apply for disaster assistance.

Pallone Announces Flood Control Repairs In Keansburg

Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the contract has been awarded and work will begin this month on the $3.4 million project to repair Keansburg’s levees and remove debris resulting from Superstorm Sandy. This Army Corps of Engineers project is funded at full federal expense and was made possible by the Sandy aid package passed by Congress. The contractor, Di Iorio Construction Corp. of Rutherford, New Jersey, is required to complete the work within 210 days of starting.

Pallone: Work Begins on Long Needed Beach Replenishment Project in Monmouth Beach

Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) was joined by Monmouth Beach Mayor Susan Howard, Sea Bright Councilman Reed Murphy and Colonel Paul Owen, Commander of the Army Corps of Engineers New York District at the Monmouth Beach Bathing Pavilion to praise the progress of the beach replenishment project that has begun in Monmouth Beach and will proceed to Sea Bright. This work represents a portion of the larger Army Corps of Engineers beach replenishment project covering a majority of the beaches from Sea Bright to Manasquan. Pallone fought for robust funding in the Sandy aid package passed by Congress, and over $100 million was allocated from that bill for this long needed project.

Rep. Pallone Secures $4.3 Million for Constituents So Far This Year

Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that he has helped secure $4,325,055 so far in 2013 for constituents seeking help through his district office. This assistance includes Sandy related FEMA grants and SBA loans, Social Security payments and other compensations that residents of the 6th Congressional District required help to secure. In addition, Congressman Pallone responded to over 4,250 constituent concerns related to policy and legislation through the mail, email and personal phone calls, and reached constituents through two tele-townhalls and countless community events this year.

Rep. Pallone Announces More than $1 Million to Repair Bayshore Sewerage Facilities

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced $1,036,717 in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funding to Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority (BRSA) to repair Superstorm Sandy damage to three of their facilities: the Main Pump Station, the Maintenance Building, and the Grit Facility.
