August 21, 2014

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) visited the Lincoln Technical Institute in South Plainfield, New Jersey. Pallone toured the campus and heard how the school is helping to prepare students for successful careers in the diesel industry.

“They do far more than simply teach skills at the Lincoln Technical Institute,” said Congressman Pallone. “Their specialized education programs and hands-on training provide great opportunities for students looking to advance their careers in the fields that drive our economy. I applaud Lincoln for the outstanding work that it does to help those in our community succeed.”

With a network of 38 campuses in 17 states, the Lincoln Group of Schools emphasizes experiential learning and employability. The Lincoln Technical Institute’s South Plainfield campus is a pure diesel mechanic school. Formerly the Engine City Technical Institute, their hands-on diesel programs prepare students for careers in transport refrigeration and diesel engine repair on trucks, recreation vehicles, construction equipment, trains, busses, and many other vehicles with diesel engines.
