Pallone Hosts “The Shore Restored” Photo Contest

May 24, 2013 Issues: New Jersey

Winning Photo(s) Will Be Displayed On Congressman’s Facebook Page

Long Branch, NJ – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone Jr. asked residents and visitors of New Jersey’s 6th Congressional District to submit their best photos of the Jersey Shore restored.  The winning photo(s) will capture the spirit of the Jersey Shore restored after Sandy and will be displayed as the Congressman’s new Facebook cover photo.

“We still have a long way to go before all the homeowners and businesses impacted by Sandy are rebuilt and repaired, but we can celebrate the substantial progress we’ve made at the Shore,” said Pallone.  “I’m excited to see all the photo submissions, and I’m confident that New Jerseyans and visitors will be back to the Shore this summer to again enjoy all the places they have known and loved.”

The rebuilding process after Sandy is not nearly complete, but the quintessential Jersey shore trademarks are open for business.  Sandy Hook’s beaches have opened for the summer along with most of the shore beaches.  The Asbury Park and Belmar boardwalks were reopened this month with celebrations and fanfare.

Photos must be pictures of the 6th Congressional District, and submissions will be accepted until Labor Day, September 2, 2013.  To submit a photo, send it as a Facebook message to Congressman Pallone’s official Facebook account: and indicate where the photo was taken.
