Pallone Announces $330 Million in Federal Funding to New Jersey Schools

June 17, 2015

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced over $330 million in federal funding to New Jersey school districts through U.S. Department of Education grants to local education agencies (LEAs). The grants to LEAs will provide financial assistance to school districts for services that improve teaching and student learning for children at risk of not meeting challenging state academic achievement standards. There is a special focus on children in low-income communities.

“It is our responsibility to improve the education of all students and give every child the best chance for a prosperous future,” said Congressman Pallone. “This funding will give New Jersey opportunities to improve the schools that have the least and to focus on the students who need it most.”
